Born in Modesto, California, Samuel Coelho moved to Oregon as a young boy when his family relocated to join the blossoming Oregon wine industry. Having helped his parents plant and develop their estate vineyard as a young boy, Samuel always had a keen understanding of the potential of the Oregon wine industry.

Samuel received his BS from Oregon State University in business management, focusing on marketing, finance, and international business. A specialized degree he tailored to take his family’s business into the next level and generation.

A true entrepreneur and businessman at heart, Samuel started with his family’s vineyard and winery in 2002. Under his direction, Coelho Winery grew their production from under 3000 cases to 25,000 cases in just 5 years. Coelho Winery is now a brand that is recognized not only on a wide-spread national scale, but also internationally.

During that time as a partner in Coelho Winery, Samuel also began a négociant wine company named Plush Wine Company. 99% of Plush’s production was exported to the emerging wine market of China.  Since then, Samuel has developed multiple different wine brands and wineries including, but not limited to, the Dois Irmaos Winery and Samuel Robert Winery.

Understanding the importance of vertical business integration, Samuel has also developed two recognized vineyard properties since 2012, Lucky Rooster Vineyard a 143 acre estate, and his home vineyard, Perrydale Hills Vineyard, a 118 acre estate. During these endeavors, which are still continuing, he has continued his passion for the original family business of Coelho Winery, establishing a new company controlled by he and his active family members, Coelho Family Wines.

Outside of the wine business, Samuel enjoys real estate, developing SRC Management in 2010. SRC Management has real estate holdings in Oregon and Nevada. Samuel’s overall goal as a keen businessman is to create long term wealth in areas where he and his family can flourish for generations to come.

Today Samuel is managing partner at Coelho Family Wines, overseeing all aspects of the company. He especially focuses on big picture relationships and long term objectives set by the team.

Samuel is married to his lovely wife, Bryn Coelho and they have 3 amazing children. Con, Francis, and Mia Coelho. They enjoy traveling, wine, and time with one another.
